Summit senior Sam Dudick scored three goals, but, in the end, a plethora of penalties did in the Summit High lacrosse team on Wednesday.
The Tigers gave up six goals in man-down situations and lost 12-6 at Golden.
"The kids played with them, but we probably had about 15 penalties," SHS head coach Michael O'Neill said.
O'Neill said most of his team's penalties were unnecessary and ultimately cost the Tigers a chance at their second straight win to start the season.
The weather conditions didn't help much either.
